![]() Every serious artist should have a personal sketchbook, and it should be one that inspires you to draw in it on a daily basis. Mine is from Barnes and Noble, around 8"x11" in size with nice thick paper that's perforated for easy removal. I love to draw in contour lines and cross hatching with ink. I don't pre-sketch with pencil. Instead, I go right to committing to the paper with black ink. It's scary, but there's also something very freeing about it. It frees you from the demands of being a perfectionist. Something I've had to wrestle with for years regarding my art. And I love line, probably more than I love color. I think line is akin to the lyrics in a song, or the words in a poem.

I'm thrilled to have a new website here on Weebly. It's something I've been wanting to do for awhile. It gives me the opportunity to update my art without the hassles I had before with pulling the old site off the server.
I hope you've enjoyed looking through my site. Let me know what you think! |
